Our IT department constantly receive emails, phone calls & text messages asking us to grant permissions to a new/existing user to use functions in our Finance package or our HR package or our timekeeping package....
I've been asked to build this request in BOSSDesk. My challenges are:
- Some of the changes require approval from the affected MUNIS module 'primary owner'. The approval varies by MUNIS function. For example, if a user wants to use a new service account number, that has to be approved by the user's department head and by the Finance department head. If a user has a new person who will be working purchase orders, that has to be approved by Procurement and the user's department head.
There could be multiple MUNIS function listed in the request. For example, a new hire could need access to MUNIS Finance, Payroll & timekeeping. Those would be approved by different department heads.
I want to have one new service request that covers all of this. I'm trying to avoid having multiple new service request in the catalog if possible.
I an considering building a list of the MUNIS functions listed with checkboxes. The Requester can select one or more checkboxes in a single service request.
Has anyone already developed this type of service request? How is it working for you?
